Gamble to Win

You’re sitting in a busy tavern, the kind where people laugh, drink, and pass the time with a game of cards. Around here, playing cards  is a common way to win some extra coins. Everyone knows the rules, and with a bit of luck and smart bets, you might walk away richer than you came.

Instructions

• You and your opponent each get 3 cards from a deck of 9.
• You’ll play 3 rounds, using one card each round.
• Each round has a different rule for who wins:
  1. Round 1 – Highest number wins
  2. Round 2 – Lowest number wins
  3. Round 3 – Suit wins (like rock-paper-scissors):
     • Spears beat Axes
     • Axes beat Swords
     • Swords beat Spears
     • If the suits are the same, the higher number wins
• Before each round, both players bet coins.
• If you win the round, you win double your bet from your opponent.
• If you lose, you lose your bet.
• You start with 10 coins. Try to end with more than you started!
